Microlighting: The gift of a lifetime - to fly like a bird
For friends not wishing to witness your flight, the nearby town of Perth has plenty of shops, recreational facilities and cafes to choose from.
Your aircraft will be a well-maintained, state of the art, flexwing microlight with exhilarating performance. All pilots are friendly, fully qualified flying instructors approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) .
Airfield Venues
Your flying experience will take place at either Balado Airfield (off the M90 motorway near Kinross) or at Perth Airport (about 3 miles north of Perth). Both venues are in the very heart of Scotland, easily accessible from almost anywhere in Scotland or the north of England, and with spectacular scenery all round; rolling parklands, lochs and rivers with the Highlands as a stunning backdrop. The skies are relatively free of commercial aircraft with no significant restrictions on recreational flying.
We will confirm the location when we send your gift voucher out. Occasionally we may need to switch your original venue for operational reasons but we will notify you of any changes to your itinery as soon as possible.
It may be possible to arrange your flight for another venue where there is a microlight school, for example, at East Fortune airfield near Edinburgh but please check this with us before you order your voucher.
